Chesterwood always benefits from the support and assistance of volunteers!

  • Greet visitors when they arrive on the grounds and provide a brief orientation to what to do and see on our 122 acres.

  • Assist with our artist-in-residence demonstrations throughout the summer

  • Lead a special tour of our annual Contemporary Art Show

  • Help us decorate and set up for our major benefit gala, the Studio Garden Party, on June 8, 2019

Please write to us with some information about your background and your interest in Chesterwood at chesterwood@savingplaces.org.

Thank you!

Interns have long been the back bone of everything we do at Chesterwood. Past interns have worked closely with our full-time staff in curatorial initiatives, educational programs, marketing and fund-raising, and special events support. When possible interns become an integral part of the day to day operations - learning hands on how to lead a tour, greet visitors, assist at the Admissions Desk and Gift Shop, and provide support during special events. Full-time summer internship opportunities that come with a stipend are listed on the National Trust for Historic Preservation website. Other off-season, part-time, non-paid opportunities can be discussed by contacting us directly at chesterwood@savingplaces.org.
